Books vs. their Movie version
Alright, so I watched the new movie, Angels & Demons with my parents today. I should say that I had read Dan Brown's book and my parents had not. From just about the beginning, I was totally disappointed with the movie. If you were in the theater with us, you would see me shaking my head and complaining over to my mom, quietly of course, ha! It just seemed liked they wanted to rush forward to the exciting part of the story to the chase of the catching the killer. That's Hollywood for you! And they totally brushed over the parts of the story that I thought were very important to have such as religion vs. science as well as the idea of father figures. I just had to rant because the book was very good and the movie could have been just as good. And as we have seen, most of the movies that have been based on books never live up to them. I was just really disappointed.

Damn, it sucked? Well, the book will ALWAYS ALWAYS be better than the movie.
There was one exception for me though, just one. And, I totally forgot what it was. :(
Harry Potter movies are like that as well. I was like: "UM, wtf! they didn't even give us time to grieve for Sirius!"
But knowing me, I'm still going to watch Angels and Demons. :P
Da Vinci code, wasn't as bad as I expected it to be, could've been better though. Ah well. That is Hollywood for you.
And don't even get me started with the Narnia movies >< I've been reading them since I was 9..but though they changed it a bit, I still love them. :P
Well, no, it didn't suck. If I didn't read the book, I think I would have liked it, as a movie, by itself, it was good. I liked the book better. :)
Oh yay, okay, I'll watch it then :D
A friend told me similar the other day and now I'm reading your thoughts, I got to say my need to see the movie is disappearing.
I'll wait for the DVD...
i like the book better too. the movie is just alright to me.
