Old/New Inspiration

I've been recently looking back through my old notebooks and sketchbooks. I've been looking through my sketches and thumbnails and notes and scribbles. It's nice to look back and see what you were thinking and remember that time in you life. It's definitely another great way to get inspiration and be creative. To look at old projects and get inspired again or to be inspired in a new way. I'm getting inspired to do new things, to start to paint, to build, to design, to write.

Favorites of the Week

WrestleMania 25
My friends and I had a little WM25 party last Sunday night. It was a fun night of eating, drinking and watching the yearly extravaganza. It was a pretty good show, it could have been better, IMO, considering it was the 25th anniversary. But it was a solid show that was headlined by the classic battle between The Undertaker and the HeartBreak Kid Shawn Michaels. That was such an amazing match, so much so that it overshadowed the matches that followed it. I thought that the HHH/Randy Orton had a chance to match it, however, it didn't. Although it was very good. Another highlight of the show was the Jeff Hardy/Matt Hardy Xtreme Rules match! It definitely was a great night!

A recent favorite of mine...it's like a little creative daily exercises for your blogs, social networks or whatever! Lots of fun!

Root Beer Float cupcakes!
Mmmmm...that's right! Root Beer Float cupcakes! Made by a good friend of mine, I had a few of these tasty babies last Sunday at the WM25 party! Soooo delicious! Thanks April!

My advice

Name a piece of advice you've been given that you think everyone should hear

My coach, teacher and mentor once said to a group of kids at a summer basketball camp that I help coach at, that it's not 'practice makes perfect' but it's perfect practice makes perfect. In other words, you gotta do things the right way, each and every time.

Munny Madness

The Munny has recently become my favorite toy! It indeed is the "greatest do it yourself" toy ever!

It starts off as a blank canvas and after you use your pens, pencils, crayons or sharpies and some imagination, you get...

This is my first Munny creation!

The Fight For Cookie Monster

Recently, my little cousin and I have been arguing over who is a bigger lover of Cookie Monster. It started when she was going over my mom's Avon booklets (my mom's an Avon-lady) and saw the stuffed-Cookie Monster. We argued about who should get it because it can only belong to one! haha

Anyway, Cookie Monster arrived last week and I took it hostage...

well...over the weekend, after very clever sting operation, my cousin "Cookie-napped" him back and Cookie Monster is nice and safe...for now!

Back on the Run

For the past couple months or so, I've been starting to get back in shape. Every Saturday morning, early in the morning at about 8:30, I head out to the mall and go running. I joined the Nike Run Club and having lots of fun and it's free! I get to get in shape and socialize, a good amount of people are there every week. They even have a drawing for free stuff at the end of every month.

Every week I've been running further and faster, it feels great! I've been consistently been running about 4 miles or so. I've been getting better and feeling better!

Favorites of the Week

Kelly Paper My new favorite store, the Disneyland of paper! A warehouse full of reams of paper, being a graphic designer, I was very excited! They'll see lots more of me!

My new DVR - since my VCR has gone caput, I am loving my new toy! I have no idea how I could have lived without it! I've been taping (oops, I mean, DVR'ing) left and right, all over the place.

Jamie Foxx Intuition The new album from the Grammy-nominated, Oscar-winning actor/singer/Mr. Everything is solid. As usual, its a mix of club bangers and smooth R&B. There's his solid singles like 'Just Like Me' featuring T.I., 'Blame It' featuring T-Pain, as well as the 'Ms. Independent' remix, 'She Got Her Own' featuring Ne-yo and Fabolous. Add that to my new favorites, 'Number One' with Lil Wayne and 'Digital Girl'. My new favorite album, I've been rockin' it in my car all week.

I have returned!

After about a four and a half month absence, I'm back. It's been a while...I spent a month down in L.A. from Thanksgiving to around Christmas time. Did a little relaxing and contemplating whether to move down there or not. After a week home after L.A., I spent the New Year in Vegas! woooooo... I am back up in the Bay Area, will think about moving later. Been coaching some basketball, doing a lot more running. Things have been picking up lately! I am back and more to come...

Favorites of the Week

Jazmine Sullivan Fearless, I really love Jazmine's sounds, I say sounds because each song has a different style to it, from the Jamaican-Lauren-Hill-style of her hit, "Need You Bad", to the up-tempo swing style of "Switch". Each one sounds great!

The Host I saw this movie on G4 last weekend and loved it! If you love those Japanese monster movies, you'll love this, think Godzilla with water! Classic!

Current TV When there's nothing on TV, this is a great channel to put on to see different, great stories. Current TV is viewer-friendly channel that has podcasts about different things, world affairs to fun things around town.
